I have resigned from several jobs over the years, most of the times I had nothing lined up. Never had a problem finding another, usually before I completed taking a couple of weeks off even.
I moved from Tulsa to the middle of nowhere NWLA w/out having anything but lodging assured and knowing very few people. Within 3months I was creating a new mortgage department for a local credit union as their original mortgage manager.
