I have to attend a conference this Friday it doesn’t end until 5pm.

My flight leaves at 8:22pm I also have to return to a rental car and shuttle to airport.

Do you think I have plenty of time for travel?

5-7 could still be some traffic. You *should* be ok on paper but might wanna monitor how heavy traffic looks over the next few days. Plug the route in to gps and see what is looks like. Monday rush hour could be a decent gauge.

LOL- I have a meeting until 430p in Skokie on Tuesday + a rental car and my flight leaves at 557pm. I am hoping to get out at 415p and be at rental car by 455p. That would give me plenty of time to get to terminal, use Clear/Pre-Check, and possibly grab a snack from the skyclub

FYI - on google maps you can set the start and end points then tell it the date/time when you need to arrive - it will recommend when you need to leave to make it on time. It factors in historical traffic flows.

To note, all of our interstates are referred to by names. You'll most likely catch traffic on the Tri-State (294), but consider yourself extremely fortunate that you'll skip the Eisenhower (290) and Kennedy (90). Those will be an absolute mess. All said, I wouldn't worry about missing your flight unless something catastrophically goes wrong.
