I didn't say Texas was or has been good lately. I said both of you are interlopers more tied to Texas than to the SEC.
Arkansas fans' incessant boasting over a 4-2 record over 30 years vs. Texas is evidence of that. We are your biggest game by far each time we play. Your athletic director cried on the field after beating us in 2021. You literally put a clip from that game in your school's commercial, with no SEC related content.

No doubt Arkansas considers texas our biggest rival, we’ve never denied that. texas week has always been a blast as long as I can remember.
But the pre scholarship limit days are over now, back when your second team could beat anyone in the swc.
That 2021 game was big and emotional for our program because we had been wandering in the desert of obscurity for 9 damn years. We had won maybe 7 games in the previous 4 years and we just beat a ranked rival, of course everyone was happy. Heck, even your AD talked about how that atmosphere was something he wished you had.
The distant past is just that, a distant past which only you cling to. Get over yourself.

That's what makes this sport great ..the passion. While ark may not be as big a rival for us as Aggie or ou it's still a rivalry game for us and a lot of fun. I am looking forward to renewing it.
Some of you are prob too young to remember how good this rivalry used to be. Don't underestimate how important it is
