For a student at the Med ctr, if you want a house, I would be looking for a house in Broadmoor, the 500-900 blocks of South Highlands between Ockley and Pierremont, and East of Fairfield between Kings and Betty Virginia park.

The locales listed above are gonna be cumbersome for the hours your kid is gonna be keeping. Haughton/NoBo simply not practical for commute in that situation. She will hate it.

Shreveport violent crime is almost all either domestic voilence or drug related or extraordinarilly bad luck, you pretty much have to look for trouble. Property crime can be largely avoided with good sense and some precautions.

I'm not going to dox myself, but I have esoteric knowledge of the areas we are talking about and the work/school environment and logistics as well.
