More funerals attended in the pouring a*s rain, or the sweltering summer heat

Almost every funeral graveside service is either 102 with 90% humidity in July, Aug, or September, or in the drenching arse rain.
Only rare exception is the random person who dies right before or after Christmas and it's either misting icesickles or the wind-chill is 29 degrees.
Either way, seems a rarity to attend a funeral in peaceful clam, mild weather in the South.

It’s a good reminder of what eternity awaits all you sinners out there who don’t repent.

So when I think of azaleas, I should think of death?

My uncle died the Saturday before Mardi Gras (we were at Endymion and didn’t find out til after the parade)
That funeral was cold by New Orleans standards
