My wife lost our engagement ring after about 12 years. Turned the house over and never found it. Turned in a claim and they sent a couple diamonds to choose from and replaced it with no issues. That was around a $10k ring.
I was actually surprised at how easy it was.
ETA: we have a jewelry rider on our HO.
