I love this movie, its a classic. My only frustration is that they got a lot of football terminology wrong. They kind of just threw football words in the script that didn't fit what was going on.
I haven't seen it in a while so I don't have any specific examples other than sunshine ducking the blitzer and ref telling the opposing coach "a flag on the QB, no way." Ducking under a tackler is in no way a flag, and if it were a flag, the QB wouldn't be immune to it because of his position. Little stuff like that.
But I digress. One of the best sports movies ever made!

I always took this to mean the ref was basically saying what the QB did in that instance was not a penalty like the opposing coach wanted it to be not that QB was immune from getting flagged.
