I went twice years ago for rock climbing in Huaraz, Cordillera Blanca, and Negra and to climb Aconcagua in the Andes.
My wife and I plan to visit Peru in the next few years mainly for the food. Peru and especially Lima has an incredible amount of haute cuisine and Central in Lima is arguably the best restaurant in the world right now.
It is a gorgeous and culturally rich country and has everything from the Andes to the Amazon rain forest.
