PerfectGame isn’t high school. He was throwing 95 against Zachary his junior year...ask them! If I’m not mistaken he holds the record at Barbe for the fastest pitch thrown in game.
Just waiting for someone to tell me why a guy touching 95 and commanding 4 pitches in high school is where he is now. AND yes he topped at 94 against SC. The video was posted last week.
He can’t get his velocity up if he isn’t allowed to throw his fastball. He can’t gain confidence in it!
His slider is elite but if they only throw it (88 mph) and his fast ball (90 mph) they are never really changing the bat speed. SEC hitters are too good for that!
Pitch calling sucks…….bet Herring would agree after a called 1-2 fastball that got him pulled. If you think he missed his spot watch Tommy questioning him and his reaction when he left the mound. Another example is let’s throw 5 sliders in a row to Christian Moore and hope he doesn’t hit it!
As for SS, if he would have had the opportunities other players have had, he would have been fine. The circumstances of last year did not allow him to develop as an infielder. Then this year he was told he would have to pitch also. Yes he was working on both in the fall which didn’t allow him to focus on 1 thing. SS at LSU is over!
Side note to the idiot that thinks he knows about Guidry’s interests: His super high metabolism (burns up to 10,000 calories on workout days) is his issue. When his body is ready he will grow quickly. If it’s soon we may lose him.

Correct. It's a showcase with actual scouts and quantifiable measurements.

sounds reliable

because maybe he wasn't doing any of that in high school. He was just dominating high school players like every high level D1 prospect did

his slider isn't 88 either.

Dude stop getting online to hype up your son, we don’t care that you think he’s the best player ever.

he does not burn 10k calories on workout days. not in the off season, not even close. and i dont give a frick even if he does, he has to eat more than he burns.
here is the thing about the game...it doesnt give a frick about your excuses. doesnt care about your metabolism, what type of family you come from, how wealthy you were, the color of your skin or any of that bullshite
the deamnds of the game, demand that he add 20lbs of mostly muscle and tons of strength. he can either do it or he will find himself out the game quickly.
his body is primed to grow right now. if you knew anything about strength and conditioning you would know this. They arent out there asking him to run a marathon of poles. they are asking him to get strong AF on the basic lifts, sprint2x per week at short distances, jump, throw med balls and build up his body in the areas he has issues in.
but most importantly they are asking him to eat 1k calories before 9 am. 4 meals of atleast 750 cals each by 4 and 6 meals plus shakes by bed. they are asking him to weigh every day and if he isnt gaining, eat more or add easy calories to his meals.
i dunno if you are related to him or not, nor do i care. he either gains weight and strength to add velo or the game is going to eat him up and spit him out.

How in the world would you know the amount of calories he burns in a day?

If we only had a good pitching coach our guys could make the big show.
