Republicans aspire to lose. That's how they and the Democrats have agreed to play this game. In the end they're on the same side, which is opposite the People and the Constitution.
If we don't get it right in November, there's not going to be a 2028. The country will be gone. We'll have 50M people from south of the border and a million or so from Palestine. They will all be getting hundreds of billions in free stuff every year, ripped from you at the point of a gun. But people want to keep making excuses for losers like Mike Johnson and will just keep electing Republicans, and Democrats, and won't use the ballot box to purge Congress.
I'm amazed that people are still clinging to the two party system after what we've seen, especially since the midterms. The two parties have moved in lock step.
Only one person in the Senate, on the ballot in November, deserves any consideration and that's Hawley. Only 7 in the House: Biggs, Crane, Rosendale, Goode, Gaetz, MTG, Massie. The last two have finally seen the light on Speaker issues.
That's 8 out of about 470 on the ballot. About 1.7%. And people will just keep voting for the same cast of characters as they destroy the nation.

You’re of course 100% right in your thinking. But at the end of the day, there’s not an electoral majority that think the way you do. So, in the meantime, you pick the lesser of the evils and work incrementally towards your vision. That’s how the socialism has permeated the left and made substantial gains… incrementally, over decades, starting in education, moving into the burocracy, and finally shaping the platform.
There is not a short-term, America-First-pure solution in 2024 in any branch of government. I admire your idealism, but it’s not going to win.
Let’s take Mike Johnson to start.. let’s say you get your way and he’s tossed. Who is your replacement candidate that CAN WIN a speaker election given the make up of the house? There isn’t one. And even if there was, they would also have to make deals to get things done. And you’d end up hating them too.
