Nuclear does not have the same subsidies as wind and solar.

Show source.

IRA Section 13105 creates a “zero-emission nuclear power production tax credit” in Section 45U of the Code (the Nuclear PTC) aimed at preventing the decommission of existing nuclear plants. The Nuclear PTC is available with respect to existing nuclear plants for electricity produced and sold for taxable years beginning after December 31, 2023, and before December 31, 2032.

There's also the 45J credits from 2005 that were refreshed in 2018 for "advance nuclear power facilities."

PV solar = one time ITC @30% of FMV or a PTC (new under IRA)
Wind/geothermal/biomass = PTC

I thought you did this for a living?

You are a fricking idiot. That is not the same as renewable tax credits.

Are you still on this board?

Did you see EIA stated 6.2 GW of renewable energy were added but the capacity factor went down anyway? That means capital needs to be used for baseload generation to make up for the lack of energy production from renewable energy sources.

That was and continues to be the case I made for inefficient allocation of capital on a previous thread.

You just don’t get it.
