Who owns the buildings, the parish or school system?
School system, but a huge part of the problem was that an inordinate amount of the buildings for EBRPSS were in BR and not in St George.
Only HS in the area is Woodlawn. Not a lot of middle schools or elementary schools in there either.
Wanting a new HS in St George was part of what started this, as they were told “Go form your own school system.”

Didn't they build a new elementary or middle school along Antioch? Once SG has its own school system it will make an impact to SMHS. Local parents for once will have a better option vs. private schools and save that tuition. The parents who can easily afford private will stay private. SJV is another local catholic school that will be hurt by it. I don't believe SG Catholic School will be too affected by this change.
St. Alphonsus and CP took a big hit when Central was formed and Redemptorist eventually closed once kids stayed local to Central High.
