You are correct.
It starts with printing funny money and the policies on borders, trade and war that go to prop up the funny money Federal Reserve scheme.
In 1971 the Federal Reserve was completely decoupled from the gold standard. What happened next was the destruction of the middle class. At least gold to some extent held money printing in check prior to 1971.

What do you predict the future will hold? More unrestrained printing? It doesn’t seem like anyone is willing to allow the pendulum to swing back to sanity.
