Ascension Parish. From my home, I can cross Bayou Manchac (be in Baton Rouge) in 8-10 minutes. Daycare is roughly the same distance.
Your own link puts the average cost at 7500 a year (625ish a month) - closer to my 550 number than your over 1k number. So that's a self own.
