Damn those are some awesome pictures!

Follow up question on this upcoming cruise of mine. I ended up using the Norwegian Air Program to book our flights since it was a package deal. HAs anyone been able to get their flights changed? They gave us some very shitty flights.

I will answer my own question lol.

I called my cruise contact and she said that the flights are set, but I can try to change them if I call the cruise line. I ended up going check on my own for better flights and the flights suck coming home from anchorage as is

Didn't want to start a whole new thread for another Alaska question.

I talked to my contact with Norwegian yesterday and she was telling me that there is a train ride from Seward (where we dock) to Anchorage (where we fly home from).

Since we booked our flights through Norwegian, they are to cover the expenses of getting us back to Anchorage. She said that this train ride can be swapped out for a bus ride. Has anyone ever done this?

A few years ago we did an Alaska cruise then travelled among cities and sights. In Anchorage we stayed in a great suburban B&B.

The owned cautioned us that the "bear sighting" signs scattered through the neighborhood were to be taken seriously. She, however, was more concerned about moose that had been in her yard the day before.

In some ways Alaska is live the New Orleans French Quarter. It is more dangerous for people who think it's Disney Land. Bears, however, only kill a few tourists... and Alaska is cooler.

I would do the train ride. They basically parallel until the area between Seward and Portage, then the RR is more scenic and goes by the Spencer Glacier.
