What part of that is not true?
From your post that I responded to -
Boomer's refuse to help others build wealth.
You need it explained why this bitch is retarded? What exactly are they doing that keeps you from getting a good job, starting a business, saving, investing, etc?
Incurring huge debts on SS
Do you think boomers should be offing themselves to keep from burdening a social security system that the politicians your generation elects say is untouchable? What would boomers be doing to meet with your satisfaction re SS?
not moving on from jobs,
This is weird. You think boomers should feel obligated to not compete with you for jobs, promotions, etc.?
not passing anything around
What does this mean? What should boomers be doing in terms of "passing anything around" in your view, and be specific.
burning through heir cash with constant spend and expansion, including of other people's money.
This makes no sense. Do they have everything and keep it, or are they burning through it and yours, even though you don't have anything to begin with?

Being an immovable voting block that politicians have to bow to.
Your voting bloc is bigger. Boomers (and the silent generation) are the only generations that voted for Trump. You can thank your peers for Biden.
The worst generation by far - completely selfish. And I am doing better than my parents, but Boomers are taxing me into the ground.
Generations younger than boomers are determining tax policy. And I'd like you to make a rational case for "completely selfish".
Nearly every poster in these threads bitching about boomers mentions "I'm doing better than my parents, but ..." which should cause you guys to consider that maybe you're buying into some bullshite.
quote:
There's really no real choice anymore, it's just a big swamp. I vote and never vote Democrat.
Do better. Maybe rather than whine about boomers, who vote in a majority for Republicans, you lobby your peers to stop voting for the shite you complain about.
quote:
I've already posted this on the tax threads - the people making between 150,000-500k are the most abused. Even if you get up there and out-earn Boomers, and many do - the hit from Taxes comparably is enormous.
I don't understand why you lay this at the feet of boomers. First, apparently you believe they make loads more than you so they should be impacted by the high end tax rates more than you/your peers. Also, do you know what the top bracket rate was when boomers were starting their careers? It was 50% for me (I'm a late boomer) and 70% for boomers before me.
quote:
I'm not saying my generation is blameless. But where is the wisdom that comes with age? It doesn't exist for Boomers. Move on, settle down, and let go of SS control for everyone else.
This is weak. Why is your happiness/contentment predicated on something you think I should be doing?
As for the SS debate, I'll turn 64 this year. In these PT threads where SS has been discussed, I've argued that SS needs to be severely curtailed and certain ways. It's posters younger than me that argue against that. Just my experience, but fair for me to mention.
