Yet he currently has a top 3 HS recruiting class with two of the top 5 players committed. Is he just lucky those guys are "chasing money" while everyone else is? There is a difference between not wanting to pay because you are cheap and not wanting to overpay for marginal players.

You're right, NIL is the only thing that matters in winning a championship.

I'll never forget Jimbo Fisher at A&M holding up the BCS NC trophy after A&M won it all due to breaking the bank in 2022 signing the highest rated class ever.
