Here are some numbers on Braswell relative to his career totals:

His overall batting average this year is 27 points higher than his career average. His conference batting average is 88 points higher than his career SEC average.

His SEC OPS is 130 higher than career. His SEC K rate is 33% lower than his career SEC K rate.

There is another thread on here where there is talk about Jay needing to prove he can develop players. What is this improvement from Braswell if not development? In two years at South Carolina, Braswell had a 50% ground ball rate. This year it's 36%. His line drive rate is consistent across all years, so that 14% difference is more balls in the air. More balls in the air has meant more hits and more extra base hits. And he's also striking out way less.

Correct. If I remember correctly, Jay said that part of him coming to LSU was that he agreed to let the staff completely change his swing.
