Billfish are tied tight to the lunar table in my experience. We don't wanna be moving during a major for sure, and the bite sucks on a full moon especially with mahi.

Bream bed on the full moon for sure as stated.

I booked an overnight Green Canyon Blue Marlin charter out of Venice with a well known captain for June. Told him to look at moon tables and pick a day. This was well in advance of his calendar booking up. He choose four days before the June "Strawberry" Moon.

Will report back how it goes.

Pelagic trollers I know won't fish a full moon either.

Only bluegill. Other types of "bream" only spawn once a year, and sometimes a false spawn more often. It's why bluegill takeover any pond/lake they are stocked in from other "bream" species like redbreasts and shellcracker. It's why they are the preferred species for bass forage, they'll reproduce like rabbits on every full moon when the water is over 70.
