They’re just passionate fans. As a musician I appreciate it, music makes zero money if not for fans.
I’ve seen middle aged men in Guitar Center literally walking out of the store after an extremely heated argument over whether Eddie Van Halen’s Frankenstrat was made out of ash or alder. The fact that they’re middle aged men makes it infinitely more pathetic than a bunch of teenage girls.

If it was just a bunch teenage girls it would be one thing. There are 30 and 40yr olds acting like psychos over this shite.
A guy at work is in late 30’s, married with two sons over 10 that don’t care about Taylor Swift. We work 6pm-6am. He comes into the hospital Friday evening extremely aggravated and tells me when he got home at 6am his wife and 4 of her friends were passed out drunk on the floor of their living room. His wife hosted a listening party. 3 teachers and 2 nurses all had to call in sick and he had to get his sons to the school where his wife is also a teacher.
