Jefferson/Bluebonnet is fine. There are a few shitbirds in those apartments on Rue de Belle Maison and near the Jefferson/Floynell intersection, but for the most part it's about as safe as can be in Baton Rouge. That gas station is a sore spot in an otherwise strong area, as they had the attempted carjacking there a few months ago.

I lived in Jefferson Arms over 20 years ago. They were decent apartments at the time, but they are old at this point. No clue if they've gotten shitty. A quick check online shows a 1BR is still $1100.

The only people saying otherwise to this probably moved out to LP/Central and consider every part of BR ghetto-adjacent. Floynell for 1/4 of a mile is probably the ONLY bad stretch of Jefferson between Government and Airline and it's really just the Shell gas station.
