The last time I was called, close to half were no shows. The judge just went on to the next name on the list.

The best one I ever saw was during questioning
Assistant DA: have you ever been arrested and tried for a crime?
Potential juror: yes sir. You should remember. You tried me for second degree murder two years ago and you lost.
In all honesty it’s a pain but I go when summoned. I’d like to believe that if I’m ever wrongly tried that someone with a brain would be on the jury. So I’m just looking out for the other guy when I go.
