That's why i've been adament about the type of player you get in return if you're going to trade BI. It needs to be someone that's at a minimum an equal value guy at a different position, PG or Center. The look has to be that Trey takes BI's spot, and the new player takes JV's spot, whether at the 5 or at the 1.
The move needs to be for someone like Bam, or KAT, or Markannen.
Really hoping the Wolves get beat by the Suns and they realize Edwards needs guard help and playing with KAT/Gobert isnt' really working. A simple swap of BI for KAT really does improve both teams.

And you can easily point to the reason it appears BI and Zion don't work, b/c the way we utilized both of them early in the season offensively is basically for one on one situations. This team always plays better when they are moving the ball. When BI and Zion were both averaging 6 assists a game is when we were at our best. Didn't matter if they were scoring 25 or 15, when they both had 6+ assists we typically won the game.
They were playing great together in February and March. They each averaged 6 assists per game. BI was only scoring 20ppg, and Zion 24ppg. We went 15-6 during that stretch before BI got hurt.

Zion set 24 picks all year this year where he rolled to the basket

24.

He played in 69 games and set 24 picks. Let that sink it.

Giannis is someone who dominates the ball, and even he set 140 picks this year as the roll man.
Lebron set 123 picks this year as the roll man.

24 is a pathetic number, and that's a coaching blunder.

Trey has only set 35 picks and rolled, and he's literally one of the most effecient pick setters in the league wiht a 1.49 PPP when he sets a pick and rolls to the goal. And i'm sure if i could see a stat where it shows setting a pick and popping out for a shot, he'd have an even higher PPP.

What i find very odd is that there's been 1,243 possessions this year where we set a pick on the ball handler, but we only roll to the goal on 338 of them, basically a quarter of the time.

The Celtics have 1290 possessions with ball screens, and 482 of them resulted in someone rolling to the goal, and they shoot more 3's than anyone.

So we aren't going to roll to the goal when we set picks, but the guys we are leaving out after the pick aren't real threats to shoot a 3 in JV and Nance. What was the point of the pick? Why do you think BI and Zion are always facing a wall of defenders?

I do agree here. It would be hard to do, but you have to do a star for star type of deal.

You can't trade for a bunch of spare parts and sell it as a fit/depth move.
