The same people who are advocating for this are in other threads decrying the fact that the government can spy on Americans without a warrant. This would give them the right to lock up Americans for life without any evidence of anything. These people are being selected by the government and are being jailed without trials - FOR LIFE! Guess who Biden’s administration would be jailing for suspicious activity. I support what some of these Latin American countries are doing to get control of their countries. They are facing a situation that calls for a sort of martial law. But this sort of prison is not what we need here, and the guys who are advocating for it would be appalled to see it in reality. To be sure we need to stop coddling criminals. But our problem is not in the evidence and due process part of the system.

I love how idealists in comfy America can sit on their ivory tower of ideals and throw stones. Sure anyone can sit by and and think of a thousand and one ways this could be abused. Practically, though, this is saved El Salvador. It was given peace to its citizens. They could be "idealistic" but that wont save their citizens from the misery of being at the mercy of gangs.

Heres a huge hole in your stupid commentary. These are gangsters who rape, steal, and kill.
If the US government did this to peaceful citizens, people here would not tolerate it.

There has been tremendous outcry for the wrongly imprisoned Jan 6 prisoners, and to be frank the reason there hasnt been radical measures taken to free them is because there is hope in the system that another President can be elected that will stop it.

Do you think id sit idly by if my friends and family were being thrown into prisons like this for being political dissidents? You can scoff all you want, but I most assuredly wouldnt.

America would be a much better place if there was more El Salvador justice and less idealistic progressives letting criminals out on the streets
