re: Why the O-T hate over tattoos?

I don't hate tattoos in the least. Don't have any. My father did but was in the military. I'm old and spent most of my life in the "privileged" conservative bubble of working for big companies. Most of the people I hung out with were ambitious suburbanites and tattoo life was not part of it.

Was at the bar with my younger wife (one tat from her teen years, no pics) listening to some excellent rockabillly last weekend and met this 30's couple from France. Nice people, were here buying up old estate finds for their antique store in Paris. Covered w tats. Both wore goofy Buddy Holly style glasses. My wife and I wondered if they realized that with all the money they spent on tats they could have gotten lasic.

All I got.
