I was wrong. It is not estimated at 86% of eligible voters being registered, but closer to 90%! Look at this breakdown of EAVS by MIT’s election lab.
Holy crap, 9 out of 10 people in the US are registered to vote! LOL, I better not hear another person in the media saying we need to register more people to vote. Damn near the entire country is already registered, haha.

US Population = 330 million
US <18y Pop = 73 million
US prison and parole ineligible = 4 million
US immigrants = 45 million
The US vote eligible population (330 - 73 - 4 - 45) = 208 million
