re: Coming to Baton Rouge for the UCLA game, advice please

Explore New Orleans during the day if you’ve never been there. Put wallet in front pocket if walking in quarter. It gets dark there at night. Uptown NOLA near Tulane is pretty safe for the most part. I love LSU, but Baton Rouge kinda sucks to be honest. Walkons the night before game will be a good atmosphere. Try to eat at local places, not chains. New Orleans has tons of great restaurants.
