Swann is 222nd on the all-time receiving yardage list.
Opponents left him one-on-one to stop the Steelers great run game.
He made some highlight catches in Super Bowls...
But nobody feared him, he didn't change the game. He was just an average Joe receiver that happened to play on a Dynasty.

Stallworth was the better receiver and a shame he got in after Swann albeit 1 year. Swann played at USC and was little more known than Stallworth who played at a HBCU. But Swann became the “Hollywood” of the team and made highlight catches. He was also part of that 1974 Steelers draft class. Is he HOF material? Compared to his wr peers of his time, sure, maybe. He’s one of those selection, on the surface of stats, maybe not. What he represented at the time and who he played for and all. I get it.
