Let’s do a thought experiment.


If you hook up a F350 to a Prius, can the F350 pull the Prius forward?

What if all 4 wheels of the Prius were stationary and locked? The answer is yes, it could.

The only thing the wheels moving backward do is say to the planes engines “you now need to exceed the force of friction to move forward”. The engines can assuredly do that.
