Are you not aware that on a lot of vehicles, the rear brake lights, turn signals, & hazards are all the same light?

My vehicle is 1 of those

ETA: and hazards flashing has priority over use of turn signal or showing braking

If your car doesn’t have a separate hazard light… then by all means, don’t use the hazards and do what you think makes the most sense.
