I have a tow behind, and it does a decent job. You have to really load up weight on it and the soil needs to be fairly soft/moist.
The plugs tend to be pretty short in comparison to a better one that you’d rent. But it does the trick and it’s worth it if you have a place to store it.
Also wouldn’t recommend pulling it with a zero turn. Either a lawn tractor or an ATV. It’s heavy and tough on the equipment.
If I had a smaller yard (<3/4 Ac), I’d likely just rent the better one.
