You're off-point here.

Your points are valid, but the OP was pointing out an a-hole being intentionally cruel to a suffering animal and your examples have nothing to do with that.

The guy in the OP, while perhaps not the biggest POS in the country, is certainly effed up.

I know a lot of hunters, and not one would do that to an animal.

I don't know a single person that would intentionally do that to animal, and yes, I know a wolf would kill me and eat me if he could, but he's an animal.

I'm not.

But you are. Even if you fail to realize it.

You aren't much farther than a handful of missed meals away from that wolf. Or that hunter.

It's a whole different country up there. Dude might have been watching his herd or his pets get decimated by wolves. To you, it might look fricked up. To him it might be parading the town menace through the streets before his execution.

It's not the way I'd do things, but it's far from uncommon and tales have been told across the centuries about similar situations.

I doubt this guy is some pure evil entity. Just hates wolves and lives in a world where this thing isn't too far outside the norm, but for some dude with no sense of perspective looking in from the far outside, it looks absolutely barbaric.

The fact that the local authorities only gave him a fine tells me I'm probably not far off on that.

Now maybe Geek can get mad at the little girls being raped by roaming packs of migrants in Europe.
