I'm coming around to ronk's mindset lately on bermuda.
I had a pretty bad case of large patch a few years ago when we had a really wet Fall season, and that shite is totally uncontrollable now every Fall, even with alternating Azoxystrobin and propiconazole each year (monthly applications). So when spring rolls around, the grass takes forever to green up and fill in the diseased areas. I'm this close to converting over to the dark side, likely will be renting a sod cutter to rip out all my St. Aug and replacing with Bermuda soon.
Go for it! You won't regret it.
I did the same with roughly 8000 SF of centipede about a year ago with Tifway 419.
