No LSU is not. Scott Woodward went out and got Mulkey for womens basketball of all things. He has shown he will go after big names. This was a clean up job. We had a huge dark cloud over the program nationally. We are trending in the right direction, albeit slowly. It wasn't like we had our pick of the litter of elite coaches banging down LSU's door. McMahon has year 3 to make another substantial jump forward or he'll be on his way out and regardless we'll be in a much better situation to make a big name hire if he does indeed fail.

Year 1: 14-19 (2-16 in SEC)

Year 2: 17-16 (9-9 in SEC) - NIT appearance

Year 3: ?

If he goes something like 22-11 (12-6 in SEC), we'll make the tournament. I think, depending on portal moves, that is entirely possible.
