I am not the business owner. The business owner may have been naive to how the policy could be exploited. I don't think that is still the case.

If that’s the case, you are very fricked. Once you start something it’s extremely hard to take it away.

The owner really should have consulted the lawyers first.

Nothing against lawyers, but I’m a small business owner and there are plenty of lawyers that give shite advice. Many lawyers will do anything possible to prevent a lawsuit, which frankly is mostly good advice. But at the same time, you can’t bend over for absolutely everyone.

Lawyers also work for you. Sometimes they need a kick in the arse to actually work. This won’t apply here and you are likely fricked with the owner and lawyers.
