I’m based in Amsterdam, so KLM and ergo to an extent Delta when I fly back to the US since they tend to operate KLM bookings to and from the US.
In the past I also had good experiences with Luthansa, had the luxury of flying their first class (not business) many moons ago as an unaccompanied minor, and that was a flying experience I’ll never forget.
I digress, back on the topic of Schiphol, Jetblue has fought their way into getting steady routes there served via BOS and JFK and I have to say their transatlantic service blows the dick off of Delta’s IMHO.
Free wifi that works well, better food, my flight over to BOS I had the gay FA experience which I suspect Lemmy alluded to, homeboy had a fresh bloody mary in my hand every time I blinked.
Fares are also very competitive however due to airport taxing/fees structures if you’re flying round trip with Europe as your return point fares will generally be half of what they are the other way around regardless of carrier, a nice perk for living on this side of the pond (I paid €400 round trip Amsterdam to Richmond, VA with Jetblue booked a few weeks in advance) and with Delta/KLM I’ve never paid more than ~ €850 round trip to the US from AMS whether going to Denver (my parents) or Orlando/Tampa (inlaws).
In spite of that I still stick to KLM because most of my air travel in intra-EU and I’m on track to get their gold status this year and my partner already has it so when we travel together she can always bring me into the lounge at whatever airport.
TL;DR - fly to Schiphol with Delta/KLM or otherwise Jetblue (if we’re talking about flying to Europe*).
