The kemba team might be the second worst NCAA tournament winner I've seen. They participated in the worst final 4 of all time, and one of the worst title games of all time.

UConn was .500 in conference that year. Big east was great, as it was every year.
That UConn team was definitely better than the Kevin Ollie title team, but they were a one man show that got hot at the end of the year and had a favorable route in the tournament; San Diego State was the highest seeded team they played.
Maybe they were better than the Duke team that beat butler... But who else?
