I started Wegovy 3 weeks ago today. I'm down 8.5 lbs as of this morning. I take the shot before going to bed on Wednesday night, and by mid day Thursday to about Monday evening I have little to no desire to eat. I do eat a little because I know I need to and what I am eating is small servings high in protein. By Tuesday evenings and during the day Wednesday I do feel hungry at times, but not anything like the cravings I had before starting this and all of it is still small portions. So I'd say the stuff works.
Now for why I am taking it... well my health was out of control and I just couldn't get it together on my own. (I know that sounds lazy and pathetic) I used to control it by running, but my knee is trashed and as the pounds kept adding up, my knee only got worse. With the knee issue I doubt I will ever get to run another marathon, but I hope getting things started with this medication I could maybe return to running 3-5 miles a day.
I started at 268.5 lbs and would be happy to get back to 225-230 range. I am 6'-5" and when I was running 35-40 miles a week I was around 210-215. The long term goal is using this to kick start the weight loss and gain control of my eating habits again. A extra bonus would be to run a few 5k's in the fall again as well.
I enjoyed reading this thread and your experience.
