My kids are now teenagers and we're taking off a couple of days to drag their arse to Dallas to witness the eclipse in totality. I have great kids and love spending time with them. Every chance I get to use as an excuse to spend more time with them is a good thing in my book. As we get older, we'll look back and glad be glad we did it. Based on a some of the negative posts I've read in this thread, it seems like there are a lot of people that just don't like spending time with their family, which is a damn shame.
