That's my point, though; not all foods spike glucose. I could skip breakfast or just have whey protein mixed in whole milk and my glucose levels were still at baseline either way. I'm a bit of an outlier in that I don't care about calories; I weigh the same regardless. I was interested in the insulin part because I have a parent with Alzheimer's.
