Some of the islands are covered with all sorts of exotic animals that were introduced and have gone feral.
They are really a problem, especially all the deer, goat and sheep varieties.
On the big island at the Army training center, our snipers used to get to train on the goat populations to help eradication efforts and get the additional training with live targets. But, tree huggers and state and wildlife agencies ruined that. Not sure if they have brought it back or not.
