I had the same problem with my 2008 GMC. it would shift real hard. had the same traction control light.it drove me nuts.it was bad plugs or wires. changed them and was like new. drove the truck for at least 2 years like that. i never wouldve believed it. worked for me. still doesnt make sense to me but it worked. one plug was real bad
