Madonna in her heyday was extremely popular. I won't say T-Swift level,

I think that, in the mid-80s, Madonna was as popular as Taylor Swift is today. Madonna videos were in constant rotation on MTV and every 13-year-old girl in 1985 dressed like she was in a Madonna lookalike contest. Or, maybe at 51 years old, I just don't notice pop culture like I did back then...

Easily. She was a phenomenon like Michael Jackson and Prince.

Taylor would be a massive pop star in the 80s but she’d be part of a much more crowded field, including Madonna.

If you didn’t grow up in the 80s it’s hard to describe all the good bands and music coming from every direction and genre.

I took my wife to Madonna last month and was pleasantly surprised she still has it and is very entertaining (yea she’s had a ton of work lol).
