Yeah, that didn't make sense to me.

I've been wondering how Ron is dodging some type of kidnapping charges or false imprisonment claims. I'm guessing the illegals are signing a waiver?

I did not read the ruling, but I imagine it's a joint venture-type theory.

And, I'll repeat again, the charter company didn't lose the case.

As others have mentioned, DeSantis won his motion to dismiss. Just about all the other plaintiffs, including Montgomerie and Perla Huerta won their motion to dismiss. Vertol ( the charter company) won their motion on dismissing three counts, but still must face the lawsuit on the other counts. Full decision hosted on LCR

DeSantis has a number of potential protections available. If the other alleged conspirators would face legal jeopardy, it would probably be in Texas as that is where most of their conduct took place.
