Correct - Not only do the Tigers not come out for the anthem football pregame, neither does the opposing team. Band plays anthem & alma mater, lines up outside our tunnel for the team to run out. Sometimes the other team is waiting for us to come out first to avoid getting the full Tiger bait treatment.
I've not always been sober at games, but I'm pretty sure I'm remembering this right!

It's also full of videos of every single SEC team being in the locker room for the anthem as thier band plays it and then goes make a tunnel for them to run through following the anthem. When everyone does it, it's not a big deal.
It does seem odd that they did the anthem with 12 minutes left. Normally the anthem is started when the clock runs out, b/c immediately following it is the starting lineups and then the game starts.
Are they normally on the court during their home games, b/c if so, then this is really not a big deal at all and is more just a wierd pregame timing issue.
