Not fighting over screens + hedging was an awful strategy. You don’t go under screens and sag off on a shooter. Not sure what the frick that gameplan was but I guess a 40 point game is proof it was ineffective.

Whatever gameplan you put in place, it should've never included HVL guarding CC! HVL has been the worst defender by a long shot this season!

Poa should've started the game on CC, followed by FJ in the 3rd, then LSU should've rode the 4th quarter by switching on all screens. It's not really that hard to figure out that a more athletic team should've simply switched on screens.

HVL never bothered CC's shot at all, even when she was in her face. HVL was beat of the dribble time and time again at will and it collapsed the entire defense which led to open shots and lay-ups for the rest of Iowa players. It typically started with HVL not being effective AT ALL on defense! However, that was no surprise, HVL has been bad on defense all season.
