that will find itself sweating the Mets & Fish in September, and losing a painful series to the Nats.

Neither the Mets or Marlins will be competitive this year. The Mets will be better offensively this year, but their pitching is a glorified AAA staff sans an injured Senga and a rusty Diaz. Marlins were more lucky than good last year and are without Sandy this season. The NL East is ripe for the Braves and Phillies to beat into submission this season.

The biggest worry for whoever is fighting for the wild card between ATL and PHI this year is that the NL West takes up two (or all) of the wild card spots.

I agree on Mets, but Fish have some good young players.

But, agree, SF, Az, Mil, Chi, Cinn, appear the main WC threats to Phi.

I think both of us beating up on the other East teams and generally everyone else not named LA will negate that. They are arguably the two best teams in the NL(along w/LA).

Whomever doesn't win the East will win one of the WC spots IMO. I do agree that the NLW will get the other two.
