Maybe it’s unbelievable because it’s a non issue. It is not a fundamental thing. This is 100% in his head. He is guessing wrong at pitches and not seeing spin.
Do you think a guy with bad fundamentals would be rated as high as he is in the draft? You’re the guy yelling at 10u coaches for playing a lefty catcher aren’t you?

He needs a new hitting coach. He doesn’t stand a chance with his current swing and open stance. I’ve never seen a hitter’s left shoulder fly open like his does. He’s barely covering a 1/3 of the plate. The pitcher could tell him what pitch is coming and he wouldn’t be able to hit.
