First, this actress is 23 years old.
Juliet is not even 14-years old in the play.
Second, there were Moors in Italy at the time so, okay, no big deal...but that was Southern Italy.
But the egregious sin is...

Timeless tales can be retold without having to literally race and gender swap... or APPROPRIATE existing characters.
But current day Hollywood and Broadway are going to current day us whether we want it or not.

Yes there were Moors. Moors were not black.

Moors weren't sub-Saharan African. The ones in Italy were Berbers, Phoenicians, or descendants of immigrants from Levant and Iraq. The name Moor even referred to European Muslims.
