This link will explain the acronym "RCIA". Contact that local Catholic Church and ask to be put into contact with an RCIA person from that Church. That person is experienced in answering questions and guiding you towards the path that's right for you. That person is in charge of guiding people like you who are actually on the path of becoming Catholic.
At the Easter Vigil this coming Saturday night, lots of brand-new Catholics are going to be officially entering the Catholic Faith. It's a great ceremony, but, it is the longest Mass by far of the year - takes 2 hours, maybe a bit more.
The RCIA person can help you figure it out.
